Emergency body showers are obligatory for laboratories where chemicals are handled and other workspaces that pose similar risks.
They are crucial for first response to accidents where the whole or a part of an employee’s body might be harmed, to minimize potential injuries caused by the accident.
According to the EN 15154-1:2006 standard, body showers must have the following specifications:
- Minimum 60 liters per minute flow.
- Minimum 15 minutes of uninterrupted flow.
